Known issues

• Direct injection carbon buildup on inlet valves causing rough idle, hesitation, and increased emissions at higher mileage (80k+ km)
• DSG automatic gearbox (if fitted) exhibits judder on low-speed manoeuvres and occasional shudder during acceleration
• Timing chain rattle on cold start, particularly in winter months, though usually not critical
• Electrical gremlins: infotainment system freezing, touchscreen unresponsiveness, and Bluetooth connectivity dropouts
• Water ingress around door seals and sunroof drains causing damp carpets and mouldy smells
• Diesel particulate filter issues (if diesel variant) but petrol lacks DPF; however, fuel injector carbon deposits require periodic cleaning

• Comfortable, refined ride quality on motorways and longer journeys
• Strong safety reputation with high Euro NCAP scores and comprehensive airbag count
