Known issues

• DPF regeneration issues and blocked particulate filter requiring cleaning or replacement (€800–€1,500)
• EGR valve carbon accumulation causing rough idle and emissions warning lights in high-mileage examples
• Diesel particulate filter ash buildup leading to limp mode, particularly on vehicles with short urban journeys
• Turbocharger variable geometry solenoid sticking, causing loss of power and boost pressure faults
• Injector carbon deposits on direct injection engines under heavy load, resulting in white smoke and reduced efficiency
• Occasional DSG gearbox shudder on low-speed manoeuvres (very minor, early reports suggest software updates resolve)
