Known issues

• Occasional infotainment system freezes or touchscreen unresponsiveness, particularly on vehicles with the 8-inch display
• Door lock actuators can fail prematurely, leaving doors difficult to open or unlock
• Turbo petrol engines (1.0 TSI) may exhibit carbon build-up on direct injection valves after 80,000+ km, causing rough idle or hesitation
• DSG dual-clutch gearbox (where fitted) reports of low-speed juddering or hesitation during city driving
• Electrical water pump failure noted on some units, leading to overheating warnings and limp-home mode
• Premature brake pad wear reported on some examples, particularly front pads within 30,000 km

• Practical interior space and flexible cargo area for everyday family use
• Low CO₂ emissions and decent fuel efficiency (45–52 mpg real-world depending on driving)
• Simple, proven petrol engines with no DPF or complex emissions hardware to worry about
