• Battery capacity loss and reduced electric range after 3–5 years; capacity retention typically 85–90% by 60,000 miles
• 12V auxiliary battery discharge and parasitic drain issues due to always-on hybrid management systems
• EAT8 automatic gearbox software glitches: hesitation during gear changes, lurching on low-speed manoeuvres, and occasional limp-home mode resets
• Charging port connector corrosion and intermittent AC charging failure, particularly in damp Irish climate
• DPF regeneration issues when engine runs without sufficient load; blocked DPF requiring £600–£900 replacement
