Known issues

• CVT transmission judder or shuddering during low-speed acceleration, particularly in traffic
• Direct-injection petrol engines prone to carbon build-up on intake valves; recommend fuel system cleaning every 50,000–60,000 km
• Turbocharger can suffer premature wear if servicing intervals are missed; oil quality critical
• Occasional reports of steering feel being numb on earlier T31 generation, but T32 (current) improved
• Sunroof drains can clog, leading to interior water ingress in damp climates
• Door lock actuators may fail prematurely on some units, particularly passenger doors

Good for

• Spacious, practical interior with good boot space and flexible seating
• Responsive 1.5L turbo petrol engine with adequate performance and acceptable fuel economy (6.5–7.5 L/100 km real-world)
• Excellent visibility and car-like driving position appeal to family buyers
• Strong reliability record for drivetrain when serviced regularly; parts availability excellent across Ireland
