Known issues

• Infotainment system can be sluggish or freeze; occasional boot loader crashes requiring full reset
• Climate control compressor failures reported (rare but costly, €800–1,200 to replace)
• Door handle mechanism can become stiff or fail prematurely in high-use vehicles
• Brake pad wear sensor false warnings on some units; sensor itself may fail before pads are worn
• Minor rattles from trim panels and dashboard plastics in cold weather
• Water ingress into rear door seals reported in small number of vehicles, usually fixable with resealing

Good for

• Easy to manoeuvre in town and parking with light steering and good visibility
• Low insurance groups and cheap replacement parts
• Frugal naturally aspirated petrol engine (40+ mpg combined in real-world use)
• Spacious cabin and generous warranty coverage (7 years/160,000 km with Kia)
