Known issues

• DPF (diesel particulate filter) clogging and failed regeneration cycles, particularly on low-mileage or urban-driven examples — can lead to limp mode and expensive cleaning/replacement (€800–€1,500)
• PowerShift automatic gearbox shuddering, hesitation, and occasional loss of drive — Ford issued technical bulletins but not all units were fully resolved
• Electrical faults including driver window regulator failure, central locking faults, and dashboard warning light glitches
• EGR valve and cooling system issues leading to overheating and white smoke on startup
• Fuel injector carbon build-up on the 2.0 TDCi engine, causing rough idle and increased emissions
• Transmission fluid leaks from PowerShift gearbox seals, especially post-100,000 km

Good for

• Spacious seven-seat family transport with good practicality and flexible seating configurations
• Decent fuel economy on motorway driving (45–50 mpg WLTP combined, real-world 38–45 mpg)
• Low acquisition cost on the used market relative to size and age
• Towing capacity of 2,000 kg (braked) — capable for caravans and trailers
