• Engine ticking/knocking noise from direct injection carbon build-up on petrol engines, especially at higher mileages
• Turbo wastegate rattle or failure on turbo petrol variants (1.3 TCe models), particularly under boost
• Manual gearbox grinding on reverse gear selection, especially when cold
• Rear door seals and window regulators prone to water ingress and binding
• Engine mount cracking causing vibration and clunking under load
• Electrical gremlins with dashboard warning lights and central locking intermittent operation

Good for

• Affordable family SUV with spacious interior and practical boot for cargo or camping
• Unpretentious, simple mechanics — easier and cheaper to repair than more complex competitors
• Good fuel economy for petrol engine size (manual especially)
• Reliable starting and basic driveability in everyday conditions with proper servicing
