Known issues

• DPF regeneration problems leading to reduced power and warning lights; common if driven in town cycles without sufficient motorway miles

• Diesel injector carbon build-up on direct injection engines, resulting in rough idle and increased emissions
• Timing chain tensioner premature wear in high-mileage examples; stretch noise on cold start
• Electrical gremlins with infotainment system and occasional CAN bus faults affecting dashboard displays
• Gearbox software issues on 7-speed S tronic; rare judder on low-speed manoeuvres, addressed by fluid flush or reprogramming
