Known issues

• DPF (diesel particulate filter) clogging and forced regeneration cycles, especially on vehicles with short urban journeys
• Diesel injector stiction and carbon buildup causing rough idle and starting difficulty, particularly in early 2020 models
• DSG 7-speed automatic gearbox judder and hesitation during low-speed manoeuvres and gear changes
• EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve carbon deposit issues leading to loss of power and limp mode activation
• Turbocharger variable geometry wear causing boost pressure loss and reduced performance
• Engine oil sludge accumulation if service intervals not strictly observed (common on 2.0 TDI engines)
