Known issues

• 1.2 TSI engine carbon buildup and intake valve deposits, leading to rough idle and hesitation in some vehicles
• DSG 7-speed gearbox judder and hesitation on low-speed manoeuvres, particularly in 2015–2017 examples
• Timing chain tensioner wear causing rattling on cold starts (more common in higher-mileage examples)
• Water ingress into rear light clusters causing electrical gremlins and bulb failure
• EGR valve carbonisation affecting emissions and engine efficiency
• Coolant leak from thermostat housing seals, especially after 80,000 km
