Known issues

• Battery capacity degradation after 5+ years of heavy use; capacity loss of 10–15% is typical but can exceed 20% in adverse conditions
• Charging port corrosion and intermittent charging failures, particularly in damp Irish/UK climates
• DSG 7-speed gearbox hesitation and judder during low-speed manoeuvres and when switching between electric and petrol modes
• Water ingress into rear light clusters and interior trim, leading to electrical gremlins and parasitic battery drain
• 12V auxiliary battery discharge when car is parked for extended periods; main battery does not always keep 12V topped up
• Particulate filter (DPF) clogging on petrol engine due to short urban journeys without sufficient regeneration cycles

• Low-emissions urban commuting (40–50 km electric range under ideal conditions, with zero tailpipe emissions)
• Fuel economy when battery is charged daily from home; potential for sub-6 L/100 km combined cycle if primarily electric-driven
• Spacious interior and practical family SUV layout with good boot space
• Smooth, responsive hybrid power delivery in ideal conditions (electric motor + petrol engine transition)
