• DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) regeneration issues and clogging on low-mileage or urban driving
• AdBlue system malfunction and sensor faults, leading to limp mode if level drops unexpectedly

• DSG 7-speed gearbox shudder during low-speed manoeuvres or parking (occasional, mostly pre-2023)
• Water ingress into door seals and rear window regulator failures on older Tiguans (less common in 2023)
• EGR cooler corrosion and coolant leaks in diesel engines under heavy use
