Known issues

• 1.0 TSI engine carbon buildup on intake valves due to direct injection; manifests as rough idle or hesitation at part throttle around 40,000–60,000 km
• DSG dual-clutch gearbox (if fitted) occasional shudder during low-speed manoeuvres or stop-start traffic
• Infotainment system software glitches; touchscreen unresponsive or updates fail, requiring dealer reset
• Water ingress into door seals leading to interior trim corrosion and window regulator faults
• Turbocharger wastegate rattle under acceleration (particularly 1.0 TSI), usually cosmetic but occasionally requires replacement
• Coolant leak from heater matrix connections, causing interior fogging or sweet smell in cabin
