Known issues

• DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) regeneration problems and blockages, particularly in low-mileage or predominantly urban driving patterns
• EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve carbon buildup causing rough idle and reduced performance
• Turbocharger lag and occasional turbo sensor faults leading to limp mode
• DSG dual-clutch gearbox judder on low-speed manoeuvres and in heavy traffic
• Water ingress into door seals and window regulators causing electrical issues
• Timing chain rattle on cold starts, especially in older examples or those with infrequent servicing

Good for

• Motorway cruising and long-distance fuel economy (5.5–6.5 L/100km on sustained highway driving)
• Compact, practical SUV design with good interior space for its class
• Solid build quality and generally comfortable driving position
• Strong residual value if maintained well
