Known issues

• Dual-clutch DSG gearbox (if fitted) exhibits judder and hesitation at low-speed manoeuvres, particularly in 1st gear or heavy traffic
• Timing chain tensioner rattle on cold start, especially in higher-mileage examples; can lead to chain stretch over time
• Direct injection carbon build-up on petrol engines causes hesitation and rough idle after ~80k miles if not serviced regularly
• Electrical gremlins including dashboard light flickering, infotainment system crashes, and occasional complete loss of cabin electrics
• Sunroof mechanism failures (if fitted); water ingress and motor/track failures common after 4–5 years
• Coolant expansion tank cap failure causing coolant weeping and low-level warnings
