Known issues

• DPF (diesel particulate filter) regeneration issues if mainly short urban trips; blockage can cause limp mode and expensive cleaning
• AdBlue system faults and crystallisation in cold climates, particularly around injector nozzles
• DSG 7-speed gearbox occasional shudder on low-speed manoeuvres or parking; software updates often resolve but gearbox recalibration may be needed
• Electrical gremlins with infotainment system freezing or losing connectivity (software-dependent, less common in 2023 model year)
• EGR valve carbon build-up causing rough idle and increased NOx emissions (typical of 2.0 TDI engines after high mileage)
• Sunroof drain blockage causing interior water ingress, particularly in heavy rain
