Known issues

• Timing chain rattle on cold start in some examples, particularly around 40,000–60,000 miles; chain can stretch prematurely
• Door lock actuators failing prematurely, causing electric locking/unlocking malfunction
• Infotainment system occasional freezing or unresponsiveness, requiring software update or unit replacement
• CVT transmission judder and hesitation during low-speed acceleration (CVT variant only)
• Power steering fluid leak from the rack seal, more common after 80,000 km
• Rust on undercarriage and brake components in Irish coastal areas without regular undercoat maintenance

Good for

• Excellent fuel economy (45–52 mpg real-world on petrol manual) and low CO₂ emissions for tax bands
• Compact, agile handling and tight turning circle ideal for tight Irish city parking
• Low maintenance costs due to simple engine design and widely available parts
