Known issues

• Door lock actuators prone to failure, particularly on driver's side—locks jam or fail to respond to key fob
• Air conditioning compressor clutch bearing wear leading to refrigerant leaks; AC may stop cooling intermittently
• Timing chain can develop rattle at cold start in higher-mileage examples (100k+), though outright failure is rare
• Manual gearbox occasionally exhibits notchy or grinding engagement in third gear on early 2016 examples
• Fuel pump electrical connector corrosion in damp conditions, causing intermittent starting issues
• Windscreen rubber seal degradation allowing water ingress into door pillar, leading to interior moisture
