• DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) blockage and regeneration faults, particularly if driven primarily in town; can require expensive cleaning or replacement
• Diesel injector deposits and carbon build-up, especially on direct-injection engines running low-quality fuel
• Occasional DSG automatic gearbox hesitation or shudder during low-speed manoeuvres or parking
• Rear suspension component wear (bushes, dampers) on higher-mileage examples, leading to clunking or poor ride
• EGR valve carbon issues causing rough idle and increased emissions on some 2.0 TDI units
• Intermittent electrical gremlins affecting dashboard displays or infotainment (generally firmware-fixable)
