Known issues

• DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) clogging and regeneration faults, especially on low-mileage urban driving; can require expensive cleaning or replacement (€800–€1,500)
• AdBlue system faults and NOx sensor errors, leading to limp-mode activation and warning lights
• EGR valve carbon buildup causing rough idle and increased emissions on higher-mileage examples
• Fuel injector deposits and occasional injector failure on early production 2.0 TDI units; carbon cleaning recommended at ~60k miles
• Water ingress into tailgate trim and door seals, causing electrical gremlins and corrosion over time
• Dual-mass flywheel wear on higher-mileage cars (typically 80k+ miles), resulting in vibration and noise on gear change
