Known issues

• DPF (diesel particulate filter) clogging on low-mileage or predominantly urban driving; requires forced regeneration or cleaning
• DSG 6-speed automatic gearbox hesitation or judder during low-speed manoeuvres, particularly in first gear
• Timing chain tensioner wear leading to rattling on cold start (typically 100k+ miles)
• EGR valve carbon buildup causing rough idle and increased emissions; more common in high-mileage examples
• Fuel injector deposits causing hard starting or reduced power, especially if fuel quality is poor
• Water ingress into door seals causing interior dampness and window regulator corrosion
