Known issues

• Direct injection carbon buildup on 1.5 TSI engine causing rough idle and hesitation at low revs—common from 40,000 km onwards; requires inlet valve cleaning
• Occasional turbocharger wastegate actuator sticking, particularly in damp Irish conditions, leading to boost pressure loss and limp-mode activation
• DSG automatic gearbox (where fitted) exhibits low-speed judder and hesitation during city driving and parking manoeuvres
• Infotainment system freezing or slow responsiveness; software updates often required from dealer
• Water ingress into tailgate seals causing interior corrosion and electrical gremlins in rear lighting
• Prematurely worn brake pads on early 2023 models (heavy-handed brake calibration); pads may require replacement by 30,000 km
