Known issues

• Carbon deposit build-up on direct injection petrol engines (1.5 TSI especially), causing rough idle and reduced performance around 40,000–80,000 miles
• Dual-clutch DSG gearbox (7-speed on some variants) can exhibit judder at low-speed manoeuvres or in heavy traffic before firmware updates
• Infotainment system (8-inch touchscreen on base models) occasionally freezes or loses Bluetooth connection; firmware updates usually resolve
• Water ingress into taillight assemblies in heavy rain conditions, causing condensation and potential electrical gremlins
• Turbocharger wastegate rattle on cold start (1.5 TSI), usually minor but can be annoying in first 5–10 seconds
• 12V battery drain issues on some MY2023–2024 models if stop-start system malfunctions
