Known issues

• DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) clogging and forced regeneration cycles, especially on low-mileage or urban driving patterns
• EGR valve carbon buildup causing rough idle and increased emissions, requiring chemical cleaning or replacement
• DSG 7-speed automatic gearbox judder on low-speed manoeuvres and occasional hesitation (manual gearbox generally more reliable)
• Water ingress into headlight units causing internal condensation and electrical gremlins
• Turbocharger bearing wear on higher-mileage examples, leading to whining noises under boost
• Fuel injector deposits and coking, particularly on poor-quality diesel or infrequent motorway use
