Known issues

• Carbon buildup on direct-injection engines causing rough idle and hesitation, particularly around 60,000–100,000 km
• Door lock mechanism failures and central locking electrical faults, especially rear doors not locking reliably
• Turbocharger bearing wear in 1.2 TSI engines, causing wastegate rattle on acceleration and eventual turbo failure
• Oil sludge accumulation if servicing intervals extended or poor-quality oil used; requires strict 10,000 km service discipline
