Known issues

• DPF regeneration failures and blocking, particularly on vehicles with frequent short journeys; can result in restricted power mode and expensive cleaning/replacement (€800–€1,500)
• Turbocharger carbon build-up and occasional wastegate rattle under load; premature wear reported on some 2022–2023 units
• EGR cooler deposits causing rough idle and increased emissions; tends to affect higher-mileage examples (80k+ miles)
• DSG7 gearbox judder on low-speed manoeuvres and occasional hesitation during gear changes, particularly in stop-start traffic
• Electrical gremlins including infotainment system freezes, steering angle sensor faults, and dashboard warning light false triggers
• Water ingress into rear light clusters and tailgate seals on some vehicles; cosmetic but can cause corrosion
