Known issues

• Direct injection petrol engine prone to carbon build-up on inlet valves, causing rough idle, hesitation, and increased fuel consumption around 60,000–80,000 miles
• Electrical gremlins including intermittent infotainment system freezes, dashboard warning light false alarms, and occasional battery drain issues
• EDC (Electronic Diesel Control) throttle issues in some petrol variants; erratic throttle response or limp-mode activation
• Timing chain tensioner wear, particularly at high mileage (100,000+), resulting in rattling on cold start
• Dual-mass flywheel failure (on manual gearbox models) typically manifesting as shuddering on take-off and clutch judder
• Water ingress into door seals and sunroof drains, leading to interior damp and electrical shorts
