Known issues

• DPF (diesel particulate filter) blockages and regeneration issues, particularly if driven short distances frequently
• 1.5 dCi engine glow plug and injector carbon buildup, especially on poor-quality diesel or infrequent servicing
• Electrical gremlins affecting dashboard lights, window regulators, and door locks, common to Renault of this era
• Clutch wear accelerated by harsh use or city driving; replacement €400–600 at independent garage
• EGR valve sticking and EGR cooler leaks causing rough idle and emissions limp-mode
• Timing chain tensioner wear producing rattle on cold start (engine design weakness in K9K variants)
