• DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) clogging and forced regeneration cycles, especially on low-mileage or short-journey driving
• EGR valve stiction causing rough idle, limp mode, and increased emissions on start-up
• Electrical faults including dashboard warning lights (glow plug, EML) that persist after codes cleared
• Timing belt tensioner rattle on cold starts; belt replacement critical at 160,000 km or 10 years
• Fuel injector carbon deposits leading to hard starting and loss of power
• AdBlue system corrosion and sensor faults, especially if tank left empty

Good for

• Spacious seven-seat layout with flexible interior for families and occasional cargo hauling
• Respectable diesel fuel economy (45–52 mpg real-world) and low CO2 emissions on motorway driving
• Robust 2.0 HDi engine that is familiar to technicians and parts are widely available
• Comfortable ride quality and good visibility for a larger MPV
