Known issues

• Battery capacity loss: 10–15% degradation over 100k km is common; expensive replacement (€8,000–12,000) after warranty
• Charging port and 12V auxiliary battery failures due to parasitic drain from always-on hybrid control modules
• Turbo petrol engine (PureTech 180) carbon build-up and occasional DPF regeneration issues, especially if mostly short journeys
• DSG eight-speed automatic gearbox: judder on low-speed manoeuvres and occasional hesitation when switching between electric and petrol drive
• Hybrid battery thermal management faults causing repeated limp-mode or refusal to accept charge
• Electric motor and inverter software glitches resulting in loss of electric assist, forcing reliance on inefficient petrol engine

Good for

• Low BiK and road tax in first year (sub-50g CO₂ on WLTP), attractive to company-car users
• Smooth, quiet urban driving on electric power for short commutes (0–50 km range realistic)
• Adequate interior space, comfortable ride quality, and good infotainment on newer touchscreen
• Respectable performance blend: 225 PS combined output is sufficient for family transport
