Known issues

• DPF (diesel particulate filter) clogging on short urban trips; regeneration cycles may fail if not driven at sustained motorway speeds regularly
• Timing chain tensioner wear reported on some 1.6 CDTi units; can lead to rattling on cold start
• EGR valve deposits and potential carbon buildup affecting cold-start emissions performance
• Gearbox judder on low-speed manoeuvres reported with 8-speed automatic (if fitted)
• Water ingress into door seals and minor electrical connector corrosion in damp conditions
• Diesel injector coking on high-mileage examples; symptoms include rough idle and white smoke on cold start
