Known issues

• DCT gearbox judder, hesitation, and occasional loss of drive on low-speed manoeuvres and reversing
• Diesel engine carbon build-up on intake valves causing rough idle and reduced power, particularly if not driven on longer runs
• DPF (diesel particulate filter) regeneration issues and clogging, especially on vehicles with low mileage or frequent short trips
• Water in diesel fuel system causing injector corrosion and fuel pump failure
• Turbocharger boost pressure loss leading to power reduction and limp-mode activation
• Electrical gremlins including dashboard warning lights and sensor faults (DPF, EGR, oxygen sensors)

Good for

• Reasonable fuel economy for the class when DPF and turbo operate normally
• Compact dimensions and light steering make it easy to manoeuvre and park
• Comfortable ride quality and well-appointed interior for the segment
• Resale value better than some rivals, especially if service history is complete
