Known issues

• Timing chain can rattle on cold starts in some examples, particularly if oil changes neglected—requires inspection but rarely critical
• Door lock actuators can fail prematurely, causing door locking/unlocking issues
• Minor rust prone around fuel filler cap area and lower sill sections in wet climates
• Air conditioning compressor clutch wear leading to weak cooling performance after 80,000+ miles
• Power steering fluid leaks from pump seals on higher-mileage examples

• Reliable, simple NA petrol engine with minimal turbo complexity
