Known issues

• Timing chain rattle on cold starts, particularly in early morning operation due to worn tensioner guides
• High-pressure fuel pump failure causing rough idle and difficulty starting, especially on direct-injection petrol engines
• Panoramic sunroof drains clogging, leading to water ingress and interior water damage
• DSG dual-clutch gearbox (if fitted) exhibits judder during low-speed manoeuvres and occasional hesitation on gear changes
• Cooper S turbocharger carbon build-up reducing power and increasing fuel consumption after 80,000 miles
• Electrical gremlins with power window switches and door lock actuators failing prematurely
