Known issues

• Direct injection carbon build-up on intake valves after 60,000+ miles, causing rough idle and reduced fuel economy
• Occasional turbocharger hesitation or lag during low-rpm acceleration
• Infotainment system touchscreen freezes or slow response reported in some units
• Door handle mechanism stiffness reported in cold weather; occasional interior rattles from dashboard trim
• Clutch or dual-clutch transmission judder on low-speed manoeuvres in some manual examples

Good for

• Practical, spacious interior with good cargo flexibility
• Strong residual value and relatively low insurance groups
• Kia's warranty and after-sales support reputation
• Reasonable fuel economy for a 1.6T petrol (45–50 mpg mixed driving)
