Known issues

• DPF (diesel particulate filter) regeneration problems, especially on vehicles with low-mileage or urban driving patterns; can result in limp mode and expensive cleaning/replacement costs
• EGR valve carbon buildup causing rough idle, reduced power, and increased emissions on higher-mileage examples
• Injector stiction and difficulty starting in cold weather, particularly on vehicles that have not been regularly serviced
• Timing chain rattle on cold start, usually cosmetic but can indicate insufficient oil changes or poor-quality oil
• Brake disc corrosion and squealing due to poor ventilation in the wheelarch design
• Panoramic sunroof (if fitted) seal degradation leading to water ingress and interior trim staining
