Known issues

• 48V battery degradation over time, particularly if charging cycles are incomplete or driving patterns are very short-distance
• Starter-generator noise or judder during regenerative braking transitions (rare but reported)
• EcoBoost petrol engine carbon build-up on direct injection at higher mileage (80,000+ km), causing rough idle or hesitation
• DSG 8-speed automatic gearbox occasional lag or hunting between gears under light throttle load
• Electrical gremlins with infotainment system (screen freezing, Bluetooth dropout) in early 2025 models

• Compact, manoeuvrable SUV body style with good interior space for its class
• Reliable EcoBoost engine platform with proven track record across Ford range
• Low insurance group and reasonable parts availability
• Adequate fuel economy (48–52 mpg real-world WLTP) with modest emissions for Euro 6d standard
