Known issues

• PowerShift dual-clutch gearbox judder and hesitation on low-speed manoeuvres, particularly in stop-start traffic
• DPF regeneration failures and blocked particulate filters on vehicles with high proportion of short-distance journeys
• Diesel injector carbon deposits and occasional misfiring, especially if fuel quality is poor
• EGR valve problems leading to rough idle and increased emissions on some units
• Coolant leaks from water pump and thermostat housing seals
• 12V auxiliary battery drain issues and parasitic loss on parked vehicles

Good for

• Strong real-world fuel economy (45–50 mpg) on mixed driving when DPF operates correctly
• Spacious interior and boot for a compact hatchback; practical for families
• Low road tax (€180/year) and insurance groups are favourable for the class
• Good visibility and comfortable ride quality on Irish roads
