Known issues

• Hybrid battery degradation and battery management system (BMS) faults leading to loss of electric assist and warning lights
• 48V mild-hybrid starter-generator reliability issues; electrical system glitches and battery drain problems reported
• PowerShift dual-clutch gearbox judder, hesitation, and jerking on low-speed manoeuvres (inherited generational fault)
• Software bugs causing infotainment system crashes and vehicle startup delays; occasional limp-home mode activation
• Coolant leaks from hybrid cooling circuit and water pump failures; overheating in stop-start traffic
• Weak cabin air filter design; moisture ingress and mould in HVAC system

Good for

• Fuel economy in mixed driving with moderate electric assist (real-world ~45–50 mpg vs 38–42 for equivalent petrol)
• Low CO₂ emissions for company car tax purposes (hybrid models benefit from lower BiK rates)
• Reasonably spacious and practical hatchback for families; good boot capacity
• Decent ride comfort on motorways; modern infotainment interface (when functioning)
