Known issues

• 1.5 TDCi DPF clogging and regeneration faults, especially on low-mileage urban driving; EGR valve issues causing rough idle and reduced power
• Ford PowerShift dual-clutch transmission hesitation, judder, and jerky low-speed engagement; gearbox software updates often needed but don't permanently resolve
• Electrical faults: interior lights staying on, door lock failures, windows dropping on closure, infotainment freezing or losing connectivity
• Front suspension wishbone wear causing clunking and uneven tyre wear before 80,000 km, particularly on poor roads
• Diesel particulate filter blockages and limp-mode activation due to short trips and infrequent motorway driving
• Fuel injector carbon build-up on direct injection, leading to cold-start difficulty and increased emissions

Good for

• Affordable entry to SUV motoring with low purchase price and reasonable fuel economy on mixed driving (~5.5 L/100 km real-world)
• Compact dimensions and good visibility make it practical for urban commuting and tight parking
• Strong aftermarket and independent garage support; parts are cheap and mechanics know the platform well
• Spacious interior for its class and decent boot, good value compared to equivalent petrol rivals
