Known issues

• Engine carbon build-up on direct injection petrol engine if not regularly driven hard; can cause rough idle and hesitation
• Timing chain rattle on cold starts, especially in low temperatures; may indicate premature chain wear
• Door lock actuators failing prematurely; doors may not lock/unlock reliably
• Dashboard rattle and trim panel separation due to poor interior assembly
• Clutch wear accelerated by heavy traffic; replacement costs €400–600 at independent garages
• Alternator output insufficient at idle on some units; battery not fully charging in stop-start traffic

Good for

• Cheap to buy, insure, and run for commuting and city driving
• Economical 1.0-litre petrol engine returns 45–50 mpg on mixed driving
• Simple, proven mechanicals with few electronics to fail
• Spacious interior relative to external dimensions; practical for a small car
