Known issues

• Timing chain rattle on cold start, particularly in 1.0-litre turbocharged engines under 5,000 km
• Door handles breaking or sticking, especially driver's side — plastic components prone to cracking
• Fuel pump electrical connector corrosion causing intermittent starting issues
• Damp ingress into taillight housings and interior trim causing water pooling in door pockets
• Gearbox (manual) notchy gear change and occasional grinding into reverse
• Climate control compressor failure without warning, typically 3–5 years in damp Irish climate

Good for

• Rough-and-ready off-road ability and ground clearance for the price
• Low purchase and insurance costs — affordable family workhorse
• Simple, non-turbo petrol engines (1.2L NA) are mechanically robust and easy to fix
• Parts availability through Dacia dealers is improving across Ireland and UK
