Known issues

• Engine carbon buildup on direct injection petrol units, particularly noticeable above 60k miles with reduced fuel economy and rough idle
• Timing chain tensioner wear leading to rattling on cold starts, more prevalent in 2019 models with higher mileage
• Manual gearbox grinding on 3rd/4th gear engagement when cold, especially in winter
• Electrical gremlins with window regulators and central locking modules, poor connector quality
• Rust perforation on door bottoms and sill areas despite Dacia's claims, accelerated in Irish coastal conditions
• CVT automatic (if fitted) hesitation and jerky low-speed response, transmission fluid degradation from 80k miles onward

Good for

• Low purchase price and affordable running costs, ideal for first-time buyers
• Simple mechanical design with good parts availability and straightforward servicing
• Surprising interior space and practical layout for the money
• Decent ground clearance and light steering for urban and light off-road use
