Known issues

• Electrical gremlins: dashboard warning lights flickering, infotainment system freezing or losing connectivity, and intermittent dashboard display failures
• Timing chain rattle on cold start in first 10,000 miles, occasionally persisting beyond warranty
• Turbo (1.2 petrol) carbon build-up causing hesitation and reduced power after 60,000+ miles if not regularly serviced
• Water ingress into tailgate seal causing interior water pooling and corrosion on rear door panels
• Paint peeling and adhesion problems, especially on roof and bonnet edges within 2–3 years
• Clutch judder on manual gearboxes during low-speed manoeuvres, exacerbated by poor bite point consistency

Good for

• Affordable, spacious interior with excellent headroom and boot flexibility for a compact SUV
• Easy parking and tight-space manoeuvrability due to light steering and compact dimensions
• Reasonable fuel economy (petrol 1.2T averaging 45–50 mpg in mixed driving if not turbo-lagged)
• Low running costs and cheap parts availability thanks to Citroën's parts network and simple mechanical design
