Known issues

• DPF (diesel particulate filter) clogging and regeneration issues, particularly on vehicles with frequent short journeys; can require forced regeneration or replacement (€1,200–€2,500)
• Fuel injector deposits and misfires on the N57 diesel engine, especially in 30d variants; can cause rough idle and limp mode
• Turbocharger boost pressure loss and lag; turbo seal degradation reported from ~80,000 km
• Timing chain tensioner rattle on cold start (N57 engines); premature wear can lead to catastrophic engine damage if ignored
• Electronic parking brake caliper corrosion and sticking; brake fluid contamination issues reported
• Transmission shudder and hesitation during low-speed manoeuvres (ZF 8HP transmission); software updates rarely resolve fully
