Known issues

• DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) clogging and regeneration issues, especially on vehicles with frequent short journeys; limp mode and warning lights common
• EGR cooler and valve failures causing coolant leaks, overheating, and engine knock; expensive replacement €1,200–€1,800
• N57 diesel fuel injector carbon buildup and occasional injector failure; rough idle, poor cold start, and increased emissions
• High-pressure fuel pump wear leading to loss of power and starting difficulty, particularly above 100k miles
• Panoramic sunroof mechanisms failing (motor or ratchet); panel rattles or fails to close properly
• ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox hesitation, jerky downshifts, and occasional transmission fluid leaks
