Known issues

• Battery capacity loss over time; capacity typically drops 5–10% after 5–8 years of PHEV use
• High-voltage charging port contact corrosion in damp climate; intermittent charging failures
• DSG 8-speed gearbox occasional hesitation and judder during low-speed electric-to-combustion transitions
• Electric motor cooling system leaks; failure of electric motor seals leading to costly replacement (~€3,500–€5,000)
• 12V auxiliary battery drain issues; frequent battery failure at 3–4 years if not regularly driven
• Fuel injector carbon build-up on direct-injection engine when running in hybrid mode; rough idle and hesitation
