Known issues

• Battery degradation: capacity loss of 5–10% over 8 years is typical; replacement costs €8,000–€12,000 after warranty expiry
• Charging system faults: intermittent charging cable recognition, connector corrosion, and onboard charger failures reported
• Dual-clutch gearbox (8-speed) judder on low-speed electric–petrol transitions, especially in traffic
• 12V auxiliary battery drain: hybrid system can over-discharge the auxiliary battery if the car sits unused for 2+ weeks
• Engine carbon build-up on direct injection: occurs faster if petrol engine runs infrequently (if car primarily used in electric mode); fuel injector cleaning may be needed by 100,000 miles
• Water ingress into high-voltage connectors in damp climates, causing error codes and reduced EV range

Good for

• Low-emission urban driving and commuting with regular home charging; zero-emission range of ~40 km WLTP (real-world ~30–35 km)
• Company car tax efficiency: VED and company car tax significantly lower than standard petrol SUV equivalent
