Known issues

• DPF (diesel particulate filter) clogging and forced regeneration cycles causing limp mode, especially on short urban journeys
• Fuel injector deposits and potential injector failure on 2.0L diesel engines, exacerbated by poor fuel quality in Ireland
• Electrical gremlins including intermittent dashboard warning lights, battery drain issues, and infotainment system freezes
• EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve carbon build-up causing rough idle and increased emissions
• Transmission shudder and hesitation during low-speed manoeuvres in traffic, particularly with the 8-speed automatic
• Power steering electronic module failures causing loss of steering assistance or excessive on-centre vibration

Good for

• Comfortable, spacious interior with good rear legroom for families
• Strong diesel torque delivery providing adequate performance for towing and motorway driving
• Decent fuel economy (45–52 mpg real-world) when DPF functions properly and longer journeys predominate
• Handling balance and driving position superior to many competitors in the compact SUV segment
